The Vento 820 is a small, stand-mounted, two-way, rear-ported mini-monitor made by Canton, a German company that was founded in 1972. The 820 is made in Germany; the brand name has nothing to do with China—in case anyone was wondering. Canton's philosophy from the beginning, according to its Web site, was to build speakers that would appeal to both the audio-obsessed (through good sound) and their spouses (through good looks). Canton's GLE 455.2 is a compact 2-1/2-way center-channel speaker. Able to handle up to 140 watts, each enclosure houses a 6-inch aluminum wave surround woofer, a 6-inch aluminum wave surround midrange driver, and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter. The GLE 455 is compatible with Canton's LS 600 and 650 loudspeaker stands, and is magnetically shielded against interference from nearby audio/visual equipment.
Canton's GLE 410.2 is a two-way speaker featuring a compact, flat design. Able to handle up to 100 watts, each enclosure houses a 6-inch aluminum wave surround woofer and 1-inch soft-dome tweeter. Integrated wall mounts allow you to put the speakers wherever you want.
